Living in this country, there's one thing we don't get much of... SNOW!
While most of the country had school closures, L0ndon's Westend went dark and most of the roads were unusable, we barely had an inch! Then this morning I woke up to a blanket of pure white, powdery snow!
Snow, like Christmas, Birthdays, Easter and all the other holidays, brings out the child in me. Where most sensible adults choose to wrap up warm and snuggle on the sofa with a mug of hot chocolate, I have to wrap up warm and take the dog for a walk! Snow makes everything different, it makes even things that are unattractive beautiful, and mainly- It's fun!
Highlight of the day- Watching Poppy chase snowballs and trying (unsuccessfully!) to catch them. The pure joy she got from this, running and jumping in th snow followed by the look of confusion when the snowball hit the floor and disappeared. I could have watched her all day!
Fingers crossed it lasts!
